This sixth annual National Catholic Health Care Week will take place from Sunday, February 2 to Saturday, February 8, 2025.
National Catholic Health Care Week leads into The World Day of the Sick on February 11, a Catholic day of observance established by Pope John Paul II to encourage prayers and reflections for those who are ill and for all those who care for them.
Caring for our Common Home
This year’s theme celebrates the interconnectedness of all creation and helps us to reflect on how our individual and collective actions and our systems—health, social, economic—can promote a healthy world where all can thrive.
The Courageous Gift of Catholic Health Care
Serving in a 400-year healing mission, currently with 129 health care providers, over 88,000 team members, serving 5 million people, the Catholic Health Alliance of Canada cares for body, mind and soul
across Canada’s health system.
We give thanks for the long, faithful service of our local Catholic Health International here on Miramichi’s Water Street, the legacy of our Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph, our Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, and Hotel Dieu Place, along with St. Joseph’s Hospital and Rocmaura Nursing Home in our Diocese of Saint John.
