With our Bishop Christian Riesbeck, CC’s support, our Pastor Antonio Reyes and a missional prayer team embarked on a year-long course with Divine Renovation’s Genesis Compass renewal program. From this, we’ve formed a parish leadership team to support our pastor in focusing on the parish renewal mission,
guiding our parish stewardship in mission,
working with our ministries,
improving our communication,
and working toward a new parish pastoral council to represent the broader parish in outreach.
Father Daren Bryk, CC, our diocesan Revitalization Coordinator, shared the Cathedral parish’s Divine Renovation experience over the past year, preaching here on the fifth Sunday of Easter. The Cathedral parish is striving to realize our Bishop Christian Riesbeck, CC’s vision for all our parishes to move from maintenance to mission, and to be inviting, welcoming, and evangelizing.
We’re beginning with a service of thanksgiving for all those in our parish who have served, are serving, or feel the call to serve in parish ministry… if that’s you, you’re warmly invited to a Parish Renewal Ministry Gathering 7pm Thursday June 11. We will begin in the Bishop Rogers Chapel, with a Service of Thanksgiving for our Parish Ministers, followed by a reception with light refreshments and fraternity in the parish centre.
