The Most Reverend Christian Riesbeck, CC, Bishop of Saint John, announces the following clergy
appointments affecting the Saint John and Sussex areas of the Diocese, effective Wednesday, October 1, 2025, unless otherwise noted.
Rev. John Gillis, is appointed Parochial Administrator of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Sussex,
N.B. and Norton, N.B.
Rev. Joseph Devereaux is appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Sussex,
N.B. and Norton, N.B.
Rev. Daren Bryk, CC, is appointed Revitalization Coordinator of the Diocese of Saint John.
Rev. Aaron Knox, is appointed Vocations Director of the Diocese of Saint John, effective
immediately, in addition to his current assignments.
Rev. Dr. Michael McGowan, Chancellor of the Diocese of Saint John, is appointed Parochial
Vicar of Holy Redeemer Parish, effective immediately.
