Saint Michael the Archangel Parish joined with the Worldwide Marian Procession on the evening of Sunday, September 13, the anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima’s message for peace over war.
We give thanks to our parishioners who joined us on this peaceful, prayerful procession from the Basilica, to Elm Park, along the waterfront, and back to the Basilica for the closing blessing and Salve Regina. Thanks to our parish Catholic Women’s League and Knights of Columbus for accompanying us, and for the assistance of our Syro-Malabar, Philippine, and Latin American parishioners helping with the procession. And, thanks to our Miramichi Police Force for their generous escort during this procession. May Our Lady, Queen of families, watch over all of us with her mantle of protection, always.
‘Remember, O gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.’ – The Memorare.
